First off, I would just like to say that it is extremely humbling you are here and interested in learning more about me vs just my work. In this industry the end result often takes the highlight over who the artist is and how much work it took to make so on behalf of myself and I’m many other photographers/videographers out there that feel the same way, thank you. Shall we start now?

My name Nate Sauer, the founder of N8 Sauer Photo & Film. I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, where the world outside seemed like a distant dream. My connection to that world came through the photos in schoolbooks and the movies I watched, sparking a fascination with imagery that I never knew would one day shape the life I’m blessed to live now.

Three years ago, I took a leap and bought my first camera with my enlistment bonus from the military. What could have easily been the most irresponsible purchase of my life, quickly transformed into a deep passion for photography and videography that I never knew I had. Capturing the beauty of life, whether it’s a fleeting moment or a grand event, became my way of connecting the dots between the sheltered life I knew and the vast world I was suddenly exposed to.

Today, as the creative force behind N8 Sauer Photo & Film, I strive to bring ideas, concepts, and visions to life through powerful visuals. From the raw emotion of a wedding day to the dynamic energy of a live event, I am dedicated to creating images and films that not only capture moments but also inspire and move others.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me embracing the outdoors—fishing and hiking with my dog, or binge watching tv shows and movies in search of creative inspiration. These moments are where I recharge and maintain the spiritual capacity to keep creating.

My ultimate goal in being a creative is to pay it forward to the art by using my passion for the camera to inspire others, just as I’ve been inspired over the past few years. I believe in the power of visual storytelling, and I’m committed to sharing that passion with every project I undertake. I’ve truly never found anything that makes me feel the way I do when I bring an idea, concept, or vision to life.
